You've Got A Friend

Anna Fisher

When Carole King shopped this song to more than a dozen labels only to face rejection she didn't give up. After James Taylor vouched for her, Columbia finally signed her after trying to convince her to sell it to other artists as she had her previous hits. Within a couple weeks it was #1 on Billboard Charts, six months later James Taylor relased it and IT too became #1 almost instantaneously. Since the early 70's Carole King's Tapestry album has remained a #1 selling album. NEVER GIVE UP!
